First Bath

I have been able to create a few scrapbook pages with My Digital Studio.  I really like that I don't have to drag out all the paper, and ribbons, and punches, etc to design a page.  In a matter of minutes I can have a page designed and then add embellishments over time. I also like that I can do this while sitting and watching TV.  This year I decided I would switch to electronic scrapbooking and print the scrapbooks.  They will certainly take up less space on our shelves!  Lately I have been printing the individual pages and adding them to the scrapbooks I bought.  Now I just have to figure out how to get rid of all the empty scrapbooks I have ;0).

This page was fun to design.  I used circle punches and to create the bubbles.  I got the idea from Kimberly Van Diepen (my-digital-studio-video).

Enjoy!

A Birthday Case'd Card

I love blog hopping and seeing all the creative ideas.  I get so much inspiration from everyone and appreciate that you are so willing to share your ideas.  I wonder how people shared ideas before the internet?!?  I wish I had more time to surf the web!  Sometimes even a few minutes puts me on overload and I get a little overwhelmed wishing I was in my stamping room!  So much to stress over, so little time.  This butterfly birthday card was inspired by Amy O'Neill (A Row of Butterflies).  I pulled the colors from my Vera Bradley purse (Plum Petals), I've been pondering a card with these colors since I bought the purse this summer ;0)!  The full card picture didn't turn out too nice, trying to do too much before my flight (again, the time issue)!

Kick Up Your Heals

I  love the new Stampin Up website (www.stampinup.com), the ideas they post are just gorgeous.  I repurposed a recent post for a Stamp Camp I had last weekend.  I needed cards which were a little simpler to create, so instead of the rosette, we used a simple circle.  The card turned out great and no one was frustrated at the complexity!

This was the post from the SU website:

Gratitude

As a demonstrator, Stampin' Up provides wonderful tools to inspire us!  One of my favorite tools is the Stampin Success magazine.  They provide great ideas for all levels.  This gratitude card was made using one of the ideas from Stampin Success.  It was easy (no bows) and looks beautiful!  One of my favorite tools is the Big Shot!  There is so much you can do with it, I pretty much use it in almost every project now.  The framelits (apothecary framelits used for the cut out) are great since you can put a shape anywhere on the card!  I also love the punches, but the flexibility of the framelits just adds so many more options!  I also like that the Christmas Paper (Gumball Green polka dots from Be of Good Cheer) can be used for more than holiday projects!

Stamp Set: Fabulous phrases
Colors: Pool Party, Gumball Green, Midnight Muse
Big Shot: Apothecary Accents framelits, polka dot embossing folder, floral fusion sizzlit
Accessories: midnight muse stitched satin ribbon, bitty buttons, white bakers twine, oval punch,

A walk in the woods

So I started buying Stampin Up products as a scrapbooker.  I loved how everything coordinated and how easy it was to add some creative elements with little effort.  As I used the products more and more I became more interested in making cards than scrapbooking.  Unfortunately, the never ending pile of photos became overwhelming and well, making a crd was such a finite thing!

Anyway, My Digital Studio from Stampin Up has allowed me to enjoy scrapbooking again and I can create pages in about the same time it takes to make a card.  So, now I have time for both forms of papercrafting!

I was able to make this page in about 15 minutes.  We took Coda, our 5 month old goldendoodle, on a walk through the forest preserve on New Years Eve.  The whole family went, and there was very little whining.  So it was a nice day to end the year.

I hope to be able to blog at least weekly.  I have been busy preparing for my Stamp Camp next week, so I will have lots of cards to post!
